My Son's Favorite Signed Football Memorabilia

My son is a big football fan, although he isn't even big enough or old enough to play the sport quite yet. He watches the game intently when it's on television and has even learned some of the plays and knows what they mean. When some of his favorite players are on television, he goes completely wild with excitement and chants their names as if he is actually on the field! Since he is such a junior fan, I decided to surprise him with his own signed football memorabilia from his favorite player from his favorite team.

I went online to shop and find the signed football memorabilia that I knew would make my son's eyes widen. In addition to the football, I purchased some trading cards, a helmet and knee pads too to mimic his favorite player and make the gifts even more special. I was right and it all worked. Now, we have a huge junior football player fan in our home who is just elated to have signed football memorabilia with his favorite player's inscription on it.

Red Cardinal shirts were everywhere at the office or in general, there were small red flags on car antennas and Cardinal hats were proudly worn. Many people I knew wanted to get the daily Saturday chores done so they could watch the game in the afternoon or maybe have a get together with friends. Alas, we Cardinal fans will have to put our football memorabilia away until next season. We took a beating, the New Orleans Saints won 45 to 14. It was sad, but we did make it to the playoffs again this year, which is a good sign. All this week-end as playoff divisionals are being played, peoples favorite football memorabilia will be shown where ever they are. As for the Cardinal fans, our football memorabilia will be out again next year. We had a great season.

I still have distinct memories of him taking us with him to those classic games when we were kids, and seeing the baseball players with their slick new uniforms.
After one of the games back in the day, my father took us down to the field where my idol, Travis Lee, was walking off the field. My father shouted his name: "TRAVIS! OVER HERE!", and to my surprise, he saw us and started walking toward us. I figured he was just going to walk in front of us and wave, but he kept getting closer. I was so excited! Finally, he came right up to us and said hello. We talked to him for a few minutes about the game, and how much I admired his playing. As he was leaving, he looked right at me and said: "Hey kid, do you want me to sign your ball?" I handed over my ball and he scribbled down his autograph. Then he walked away, leaving my first baseball memorabilia in my hand. I still keep that ball in my baseball memorabilia collection.

My son has always been a Phillies fan and has been basking in the glory of last year's win. On the other hand, my daughter has always been a Yankees fan. This season has been very tense in the sports area. Of course the rivalry has been a loving one and it is all in good-natured fun. I do plan to send my son a sympathy card today since the Yankees won the series.I hope next year we won't have to take sides when World Series time comes again.
All of my children are great sports fans and have always collected baseball memorabilia. I purchased some pro sports memorabilia for two of my children online as Christmas presents. One of my grandsons is a football fan and he will receive football memorabilia. I was amazed at how many memorabilia collectables were available online and how reasonably priced they were. It has made Christmas shopping easy and affordable. I plan to add to their collectables each year as part of the gifts I give.

He was an avid sports fan, made apparent by all the pro sports memorabilia on sale throughout the house. His widow was there and very proud to discuss the acquisition of each and every piece of memorabilia collectables. They had done a bunch of traveling to follow their favorite sports. She had recited vivid stories about their adventures together.

I enjoyed her tales as much as the memorabilia collectables! As she and I sat chatting my husband stumbled across two yellowed boxes full of baseball memorabilia cards. He carefully opened the boxes and peered inside. I think I heard him gasp. The widow did not take notice if she heard but gleefully shared a story about how she and her beloved husband acquired all that baseball memorabilia throughout the years. My husband was sold.

We still have those cards, some displayed in a glass case with other baseball memorabilia.
The Twins hosted the Detroit Tigers yesterday in the final regular season of MLB game play. All of the other divisions had their winners and as of today will start the first round of the playoffs. The New York Yankees waited patiently to see who they would face in the first round. As you will see in video recap of yesterday’s game there was no lack of heart on either team. After playing something like 4.5 hours and 12 innings of baseball the home crowd got what they were hoping for and went wild waving baseball memorabilia all over the place as the Twins celebrated their 6-5 win on the field.

<--Get Out Twins Baseball Memorabilia

It was still exciting to see the excitement on the fans and players faces while watching the highlights last night. There were even fans in the Conan O’Brien Late Show band yesterday who had the game on (show filmed around 5pm) their big old flat screen out of the view of the audience and cameras. That was until Conan noticed it and called them out. Hilarious. Baseball memorabilia fans will go to any lengths to see a big game.

Instead of just having someone like the New England Patriots going lossless for the majority of the season we have many teams new to the winner’s circle at least in the last few years like the San Francisco 49ers and New York Jets. Hell, even fans of the Lions don’t have to hide their teams football memorabilia in the back corner of the homes after breaking a ridiculously long losing streak.

I see Viking football memorabilia fans really sticking it to the Cheese Heads this week when Favre comes to the place that raised him for some unwarranted revenge. I have my sights set on the 49ers beating the Rams after what should have been a 3-0 victory last week if it wasn’t for a freak last second Lewis TD catch shown in the video above. The Lions will lose breaking their week long winning streak by the Bears. And I think those lucky enough to have Sanchez signed football memorabilia will be waving it high after they take a close game against the Saints.

They feature baseball memorabilia, football memorabilia, and even NASCAR memorabilia. I have always wondered if the designer of these plaques stood in long lines to get the autographs for these plaques, or if they are replicas.
Other things that I have seen displayed on people's walls are jerseys, caps, and pennants. My grandfather is an avid fan of pro baseball. He collects baseball caps. He must have at least 10 of them! After striking out from pitches he didn’t feel were strikes, Manny threw off his helmet and got pissed. Fans were waving Dodger baseball memorabilia as the ump threw a “You’re Outa Here” to a heated Ramirez who hit a solo homerun at bat before. He was ejected in the third but the Dodgers got the job done without him just fine. I couldn’t find a video of the ejection online but I’m sure you will see it on a sports recap show.

Baseball has more heated moments between players and officials then any other American sport. There must be something about the crowd waving baseball memorabilia, passionate players and umps who take no gruff from anyone that keep a steady highlight reel of baseball players and coaches being thrown from the game. I don’t think Manny is going to sell any less memorabilia collectables because of the outburst. The fans in LA are on his side all the way seen by proudly waved Manny pro sports memorabilia.

<img align="left" title="signed football memorabilia, football memorabilia" border="0" hspace="0" alt="signed football memorabilia, football memorabilia" football memorabilia, football memorabilia" src="http://login.wordpressors.com/Upload/baseballmemorabiliaplus.com/signed%20football%20memorabilia,3246565.jpg" width="94" height="124" />Ask most avid collectors of signed football memorabilia and they will all agree – for the most part – that once the NFL draft has been concluded, the signed football memorabilia that they are seeking is of newer draft picks that show some serious potential in the pro leagues. The same notion goes for me when it comes to finding newer signed football memorabilia to add to my collection. You never know what collegian drafted star will become the next great player in the NFL. This is why many collectors that I know, including myself, leap into action during the draft, following different players and what teams that they go to all in order to get their paws on the next signed football memorabilia of what could be the next big stars in the game today. One player in particular that I am watching for next year is the quarterback, Tim Tebow, who plays for University of Florida, and has some of the best stats in college history. I can’t wait to get signed football memorabilia of this rising star!

Football Memorabilia for Fantasy League Draft

<img align="right" title="Football Memorabilia" height="239" alt="football memorabilia, signed football memorabilia" Memorabilia" hspace="0" src="http://login.wordpressors.com/Upload/baseballmemorabiliaplus.com/860346_four_leaved_clover_2.jpg" width="145" border="0" style="width: 145px; height: 239px" />For NFL fans tomorrow is a big day. It is draft day for ESPNs fantasy league. What this means is millions of football fanatics will wake up blurry eyed, sign up in the early morning hours to try and secure a power house of players to lay waste to all who try and compete. I will be one of those people. Honestly I have not followed to many of the big names coming into the league this upcoming season so I am going to call the power of old football memorabilia to lead me to the promise land.

I plan to pull out signed football memorabilia from Matt Hassleback, place it on the computer desk as a good luck charm (not so sure he is the right guy for the job) and hope the draft goes my way. I would love to have Vick commanding the troops and if the football memorabilia charms work Larry Fitzgerald will also join the gridiron squad. I didn’t play in last season’s Fantasy League so it is going to be a crap shoot. I’m considering holding out four fingers, assigning each of them a player name and then slapping them on the corner of a desk. Whichever one hurts the most is the player I’ll go with. I actually heard of a person doing this on the SATs and scoring over a 1200. Memorabilia collectables on deck, I think the draft will go my way.

I grew up with a sports loving family and my dad always had a huge collection of pro sports memorabilia, typically which he kept at the custom sports bar that he had in the living room which really added that feeling of sports to the ambience; which was what he had intended. But, if I had to sum up the many reasons regarding my love for pro sports memorabilia into the top three, they would easily be as follows.

My Three Ultimate Reasons for Collection Pro Sports Memorabilia

Memories galore.
Catching Up on Baseball Memorabilia After Trade Deadline

<img title="Baseball Memorabilia" height="131" alt="baseball memorabilia, memorabilia collectables" Memorabilia" src="http://login.wordpressors.com/Upload/baseballmemorabiliaplus.com/floormat.jpg" width="135" style="width: 135px; height: 131px" />Many big names have been changing hands over the past couple weeks as the trade deadline nears. On August 31, all MLB trades have to be inked out or players and teams will have to wait until next season to breathe new life into the lineup. Many of your favorite teams picked up a new player making it a great time for new baseball memorabilia. I like to think of memorabilia collectables of players who have recently moved elsewhere as now vintage. All the Cleveland Indian fans who had baseball memorabilia of Cliff Lee now have something vintage because he has moved on to the Philadelphia Phillies.

<--This Guy's Exciting

I think the award for the MLB’s most uncreative name should go to the Phillies. Who names their team a shorter version of the city they reside in? What if the Yankees changed their name to the New York New Yorkers? How much sense would that make? Anyway, all sorts of new memorabilia collectables are being printed for new players acquired a month before the trade deadline. As you will see in the video above all of the fantasy baseball fans out there should look at thier roster to see if any of thier players have been traded.

<img title="Baseball Memorabilia" height="82" alt="baseball memorabilia, memorabilia collectables" Memorabilia" src="http://login.wordpressors.com/Upload/baseballmemorabiliaplus.com/577639_baseball_on_first.jpg" width="114" style="width: 114px; height: 82px" />Baseball memorabilia fans especially those in Los Angeles could not believe their ears when the news first broke of Manny Ramirez being sidelined for using illegal muscle supplements. After practicing in the minor leagues for a 50 game stretch the Dodgers went to work and now have an iron fist over the National League West standings with a 7 game lead over the second place Giants. With a record of 52-30 and Manny returning to the team’s bench, one can only wonder if this big talking, heavy batting, dread wearing hitter is going to mess up the Dodger rhythm. Manny may have been the highest paid player on the team but he has not helped sell any memorabilia collectables for the team this year.

He has played a few games since being back with a one homerun so far. He can still hit, that’s for sure but has left a bad taste in my mouth with his arrogant attitude. There is going to be a lot more LA baseball memorabilia sold before the playoffs. I’m excited to see how Manny performs in the post-season since his teammates paved the golden road to what looks like a World Series spot.

That's right folks. Now, with the addition of Racheeeeeed Wallace to the Boston Celtics, Fenway Park will not necessarily be the first thing you think of when you hear someone mention the green monsta. Mr. Wallace's stats speak for themselves. He could easily start for just about any team in the NBA but instead has chosen to come off the bench for the Celtics. Why has he done this??? Has he lost his mind? Is he crazy? Maybe Mr. Wallace just realizes that the Celtics, with the addition of himself, are now one of the best bets if not the best bet in the league to win it all. Oh and by the way, don't be surprised if another piece (aka Grant Hill) is added to this pool of talent in the near future. Watch out NBA, there's a new Green Monsta in Beantown!!!!
