Pro Sports Memorabilia from the Past |

As a kid, pro sports memorabilia was the thing to collect. I had boxes of baseball cards, some autographs, pennants, stuffed animals, old baseballs from MLB games my Dad as a kid had caught in the stands and you get the idea. As I got older, my interests changed but I never lost that love for sports. Instead of baseball memorabilia, I was collecting skate and racing gear. At this point, I don’t really have anywhere to put it in my apartment but know when the time comes to set up a man cave, there will be some sweet pro sports memorabilia to showcase.
Like photographs of old friends, pro sports memorabilia from the past stirs up all sorts of memories. It is a great way to start up a conversation. Sometimes we forget a memory and then a story brings back the events surrounding it. I may not remember the whole trip to Spring Training when I got Griffey’s autograph ten years ago until looking at the signature and then the memories coming flooding back. Memorabilia collectables are great at doing this.
